Obama To Promote National Wireless Initiative

U.S. President Barack Obama travels Thursday to Marquette, Michigan, to promote his plan to expand broadband access to 98 percent of the nation to help stimulate business growth.
While in Michigan, he will watch a demonstration of Northern Michigan University's online education program and meet with local business owners who have used broadband access to expand their business.
Republicans in Congress disagree with Mr. Obama's plans to repair the economy through growth initiatives like the broadband project. On Wednesday, Republicans in the House of Representatives unveiled a long list of proposed spending cuts for the federal budget.
