Thai Couple Enter Record Book With 46-Hour Kiss

A Thailand couple are on their way into the Guinness Book of Records after marking Valentine's Day with the world's longest recorded kiss.
Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat ended their record smooch early Tuesday after 46 hours, 24 minutes and nine seconds. They outlasted 13 other couples in a contest at Thailand's Pattaya beach resort to win a $1,600 diamond ring and more than $3,000 in cash.
Laksana Tiranarat said her victory was possible because “We are more tough than the others as we could stand longer than them.” But, she said, “it is not only our toughness, it is also because of our love.”
The previous kissing record of just over 32 hours was set by a German couple in 2009.
