Candy, costumes and entertainment! Are you ready for some free fall fun? Held annually on the Saturday before Halloween, this event is a double-header and promises to be one of the biggest and best yet! The fun starts at 10am when children of all ages (birth through age 12) gather in costume in Thompson Park (corner of Dover & Washington Street’s). There, children will be treated to interactive fun activities including live musical performances by Mike Elzey’s Guitar Studio students and crafts by Macaroni Kids! At 10:45am awards will be handed out to the best costumes in 3 different age groups.
At 11am children leave the park to show off their costumes in a parade around the main downtown block. The parade will make frequent stops for Trick-or-Treating fun provided by downtown merchants. In what many merchants and residents reveal as one of their favorite downtown events, no one can resist taking in all the sights of the lively costumed children as they pass by! It’s fun for all!
In case of inclement weather, please visit www.eastonmainstreet.com or call 410-820-8822 that morning for updated info!
For evening fun, Thompson Park is used as the starting place for the “Magical Hayride.” From 6pm until 8pm, participants travel by hayride through Easton and enjoy a magical show presented by Mike Kaminskas. Come join us for this free and fun way to wrap up a wonderful autumn day.
These free community events are presented by Easton Main Street. Visit www.eastonmainstreet.com or call 410-820-8822 for more information about these and other community events in Easton.
