2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model Kate Upton always knew she wanted to be a model. The Florida native’s dream came true three years ago when she walked into an open call.
Since then Kate has worked with photographers Ellen von Unwerth, Yu Tsai, Raphael Mazzucco, and Stewart Shining, and most recently legendary SI photographer, Walter Iooss, Jr., who captured her 2012 cover. Known for her incredible physique, she is the face for Guess Lingerie, Guess Jeans, and Guess Accessories. She was also the face of Dooney & Burke and has worked with Beach Bunny Swimwear.
Not only is Kate known for her work in modeling but she is recognized for her fun and bubbly, charming personality as well. Kate will star in the upcoming Twentieth Century Fox film “The Three Stooges.” Kate’s video of her dancing to Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How to Dougie” was the number one watched video on Twitter and Google for multiple weeks. This video also has over 3 million views (growing exponentially daily) on Youtube and continues to be one of the most popular videos online. Her digital fame led to an appearance on the Tosh.0 TV show on Comedy Central.
Kate served as a celebrity host for Ferdinand’s Ball, a gala in Louisville, Kentucky where celebrities, athletes, and community leaders gather to give back to the horses in the Old Friends Retirement Facility. An avid horseback rider herself, she competes in the American Paint Horse Association and had won many championships.
