"Set in the middle of the Eastern Shore, Talbot (pronounced Tall-but) County has the most popular tourist towns north of Ocean City. Easton, the county seat, is filled with Colonial buildings. St. Michaels clings to its maritime tradition, and lots of visitors arrive by boat at one of the town's many marinas on the Miles River. Continue down Route 33 to charming and remote Tilghman, where watermen and fresh seafood reign. Oxford was once a busy seaport, home of Revolutionary War financier Robert Morris." Frommer's
