Oxford's Annual Cardboard Boat Race The Strand Beach, Oxford, Maryland.
Oxford's Cardboard Boat Race is held in June. The cardboard boat races runs from 9 a.m. to noon on The Strand Beach along the banks of the scenic Tred Avon River. In Oxford, Maryland drive down Morris Street and turn right onto the Strand Road after you pass the Robert Morris Inn. The cardboard boat races will be on your left when you get to the beach. There should be fun and food to make this a special day to help support the Special Olympics!
