A Celebration, Remembering 25 Years, marks the Silver Anniversary of the Festival of Trees
It should commemorate this momentous occasion in grand style! A wealth of gratitude goes out to
the 800 volunteers of Friends of Hospice, whose generous time and devotion make the Festival of Trees possible.
The Festival kicks off with a very exciting start on Friday, October 29th with the ever popular fashion show.
A Fashion Jubilee honors the landmark 25th anniversary with an evening of elegance beginning at 5:30 pm in
The Crystal Room of the Tidewater Inn. Libations, fabulous hors d’oeuvres and an impressive array of fashion
are included.
On Friday, November 5th, Santa’s Got a Brand New Bag features distinguished handbags donated by well-known
people in live and silent auctions! Festivities, including dinner, begin at 5:30 pm at The Talbot Country Club.
Enjoy the best of Eastern Shore dining as The Crab Claw Restaurant in St. Michaels hosts the popular Talbot
Hospice Night on Tuesday, November 16th from 5 pm to closing. Call your friends and reserve a table for this
celebratory sell-out event! 410-745-2900

Run/Walk for Hospice, a 10K Run or 5K Fun Run/Walk. All ages are encouraged to get into the action. Call
the YMCA, 410-822-0566 for specifics.
Later that evening, the elegant Preview Gala in The Gold Ballroom at The Tidewater Inn will ring in the
holiday spirit among beautifully decorated trees. Featuring light fare, libations and an auction, this Talbot County
classic event provides the very first glimpse of holiday items with an opportunity to purchase. From 6 to 8 pm.
View the stunning Christmas Trees in The Tidewater Inn’s Gold Ballroom the next morning at 10 am on
Saturday, November 27th and visit by The Christmas Elves Shop, to start your holiday shopping. Both are open
through November 30th. Children can have fun with crafts, trains, food, games and Santa at The Waterfowl
Building, on Saturday from 10 am until 3 pm with the Candy Cane Lane event.
The not-to-be-missed legendary Homes Tour on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, features distinctive,
magnificently decorated homes which will inspire holiday creativity! This self-guided tour takes visitors into private
Talbot County homes decked out for the holidays. (See page 10)

Society Auditorium on Satuday, November 27th. Daddies and daughters can kick up their heels to the music
of the Joe Martone Trio at the Daddy Daughter Dance at The Elks Lodge. Both events offer two dance times,
