TILGHMAN ISLAND....Many families return for both Tilghman day and the Summer Seafood Festival year after year to take advantage of the Seafood available. Oyster shucking contest, Crab Picking, Auction....Boat Docking Contest - Always a favorite - never disappointing. Into the slip - stern first and a line around the piling in less than 20 seconds.
Another favorite event is the annual Fire Company Auction, All proceeds from this event go to support the Tilghman Volunteer Fire Co. This is a major fund raiser. There is a Silent auction during the early afternoon Followed by the live auction in the evening
Music provided by 'Bird Dog Wheeler and the Road Kings' Well known local musicians and song writers.
All exhibits open at 10:00 AM
11:00 AM Silent Auction begins Kronsberg Park, and continues all day
11:00 AM The Row Boat Race begins at Dogwood Harbor followed by the Jigger Throw contest
12:00 Noon Boat Docking contest begins in Dogwood Harbor
At 2:00 PM Work Boat races off Avalon Island
The Crab picking contest is held in Kronsberg park at 3:45 PM
The live Auction begins at 4:30 PM
