THREE-DAY QUILT SHOW IN
HISTORIC OXFORD'S ST PAUL'S CHURCH
AN 1856 LANDMARK
MARCH 1, 2011
The Bayside Quilters of the Eastern Shore, Inc. will host a three-day quilt show in historic Oxford, Maryland at the Old St Paul’s Church from Friday May 20 through Sunday May 22. St Paul’s Church is located at 225 South Morris Street in Oxford and is handicap accessible. Street parking will be available all three days. Show hours are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday. Admission is $5.00.
All the quilts selected for the show were made by Bayside Quilt Guild members, who also will provide live quilting demonstrations. Selected quilts and quilted items will be offered for sale to the general public during the three-day show.
The quilt show’s setting, Old St Paul’s Church, was originally built in 1856, and recently restored by Ted and Jennifer Stanley to serve as a serviceable building for community events. A notable Oxford landmark, the church was one of the featured locations on the 73rd Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage in 2010.
On Saturday, May 21, the Oxford Garden Club will be hosting their nine gardens 2011 Garden Tour and admission for the garden tour is $ 15.
