Ocean Writers Conference at Chesapeake College

15TH BAY TO OCEAN WRITER`S CONFERENCE
February 25, 2012

WYE MILLS....
The 15th Annual Bay to Ocean Writers Conference will be held February 25, 2012 at Chesapeake College, Kent Humanities Building, in Wye Mills, Maryland. The conference will feature over 20 experienced authors, poets, film writers, writing instructors, freelance writers, editors, and publishers who will cover topics ranging from the craft of writing to writing in the digital age, as well as will feature the success stories of some published authors. One-to-one manuscript reviews by published authors will be provided for $45.

  • This year’s conference fees will again be $89 for adults and $55 for students. As one of the region’s premier educational seminars, last year's conference drew a sellout crowd of over 200 writers from five states and the District of Columbia. Registration opens December 1 and participants are encouraged to register early as the last six conferences have sold out in advance.

  • The Writers Conference is sponsored by the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association (www.easternshorewriters.org), a nonprofit organization supporting writers and the literary arts on the Delmarva Peninsula. For further information on the Bay to Ocean Writers Conference, visit www.baytoocean.com

    Book Review

    Susan,

I purchased your book last weekend at the signing, had the delicious fudge and than the ice cream. What a great start before I even started the book. Although I had a busy week and worked late each night, I couldn't put down the book for two nights until I finished it. I was totally captivated and was wishing I could be Charlie for one weekend in Italy, Greece or Edinburgh.

I am so glad I met you and want to know if you are working on another book.

Your restless leg syndrome and creativity are a great match. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.

    Scottish Highland Creamery
Susan Marmo Barlow is not only an author, but a successful business owner with her husband Victor Barlow. Ice Cream is Victor Barlow's passion. Victor grew up in Edinburgh and lived above an Italian ice cream parlor, Mr. Boni's, that dated back to 1907. He began working there at age 15 and later became the shop's manager, the only person outside of the family bloodline to learn the secret family ice cream recipes. Victor and Susan take great pride in making the freshest ice cream by using local ingredients, fresh milk, cream and butter and flavorings imported from Italy.
